On August 15th & 16th, the Bachupally campus was bustling with energy and vibes as our independence day celebrations began in full swing. After the flag hoisting at 9am, our musical celebrations of ADAMYA began at 11am.

Adamya, meaning the indomitable spirit, is Silver Oaks’ tribute to the spirit of India, its people, and the Acorns who are growing up with the belief that “Me and My Country, We Grow Together.”

Presented during the Independence Day weekend in the school’s Silver Jubilee year, The programme celebrates the values that have shaped both the nation and the school: Independence, Courage, Inspiration, and Responsibility.
The programme brings together music, dance, storytelling, audience interaction and reflections on India’s journey since Independence. It also celebrates Silver Oaks’ longstanding connection with the Armed Forces and its tradition of collective singing through musical assemblies.
From a tribute to India’s freedom fighters and a performance by the Mighty Oaks Band to multilingual choir performances, dance and interactive quizzes, Adamya becomes a celebration created and presented by the Acorns themselves.

The Four Timeless Themes
Independence :
The freedom to think, choose and act with purpose. Independence empowers individuals to discover their voice, embrace responsibility and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
Courage :
The strength to stand firm in the face of uncertainty, challenge and fear. Courage enables us to speak truth, pursue what is right and hold our heads high.
Inspiration :
The spark that moves us beyond ourselves. Inspiration comes through people, ideas, music and experiences, encouraging us to dream bigger, create boldly and inspire others through our actions.
Responsibility :
The understanding that our choices shape others, society and nature. Responsibility calls us to contribute, care, conserve and actively participate in building a better nation and world.
The programme concludes with the entire audience joining the music teachers in song, a collective expression of the indomitable spirit that connects India, Silver Oaks and its community.
All six shows - 11am, 3pm & 6pm - were an absolute success! This is just an overview! More stories coming up!
