Twenty-five years ago, Silver Oaks began with a simple yet powerful belief: Character Before Competence.
On the evening of our Silver Jubilee Inaugural Ceremony, that belief came alive as students, parents, educators, alumni, and distinguished guests gathered to mark the beginning of a year dedicated to celebrating the journey, values, and legacy of Silver Oaks.

The celebrations commenced with a stirring performance by the Indian Air Force Band, whose music set a tone of pride, reflection, and anticipation for the evening ahead. Their performance brought together generations of the Silver Oaks community in a shared moment of appreciation for service, excellence, and nation-building.

The formal ceremony at Green Meadows began with a warm welcome to guests and dignitaries, followed by a vibrant student performance that reflected the spirit, energy, and creativity that have always defined the Silver Oaks experience.
The gathering was honoured by the presence of Lt Gen Surendra Kulkarni, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.), who delivered the keynote address. Drawing from a lifetime of leadership and service, he spoke about the enduring importance of character, responsibility, and purpose in an increasingly complex world, leaving the audience with much to reflect upon.

A particularly moving moment of the evening was the screening of The Soul of Silver Oaks, a film that captured the essence of the institution's 25-year journey. Through memories, milestones, and reflections, the film celebrated the people and values that have shaped Silver Oaks into the community it is today.
The audience was then introduced to the Silver Oaks @ 25 Calendar of Celebrations, a year-long series of initiatives designed to honour the school's philosophy and legacy. These include projects that document stories, celebrate character, engage alumni, and create meaningful opportunities for reflection and dialogue across the community.
Addressing the gathering, the Managing Director and Director of Education reflected on the remarkable journey of Silver Oaks over the past quarter-century and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to nurturing individuals who are not only competent but also deeply rooted in values and character.

Another significant highlight of the evening was the launch of the book documenting the legacy of Silver Oaks, authored by Mr. Sudhakar Rao and Mr. Hari Prasad. The book serves as a tribute to the vision, perseverance, and collective effort that have shaped the institution over the last twenty-five years.

The evening concluded with the inauguration of the Lighthouse, a symbolic and meaningful moment that marked the beginning of the Silver Jubilee celebrations. Representing guidance, purpose, and the enduring values that illuminate the Silver Oaks journey, the Lighthouse stands as a reminder of the school's commitment to helping young people navigate their paths with courage, wisdom, and character.
As the celebrations drew to a close, there was a shared sense that this was not merely the commemoration of a milestone, but the beginning of a new chapter.
Twenty-five years have passed since the first acorn was planted.
Today, that acorn has grown into a strong and thriving oak, and the journey continues.
The Silver Jubilee year has officially begun.
