Oakhills Campus Kommadi
Meet
Oakhills
Perched near the tall, whispering hills of Visakhapatnam, the OakHills Campus feels less like a school and more like a secret waiting to be discovered. It’s the most beautiful Silver Oaks campus yet, not just for its view, but for the vision it carries.
Inaugurated in June 2024, the OakHills Campus marks more than a new address for Silver Oaks. Here, education is not rushed. It meanders like the breeze through the hills, inviting students to wonder, question, and grow.

Education with Purpose
At OakHills Campus, the early years are shaped by the IB Primary Years Programme, nurturing inquiry, conceptual clarity and social responsibility. From Grade 7 onward, learners enter the CBSE curriculum, gaining academic depth, structure, and national readiness. This purposeful pathway ensures that every learner develops both global outlook and disciplined scholarship — becoming thinkers, doers and contributors to a better tomorrow.

Our Learning Philosophy
The hills that surround our school feel almost magical. When you stand among them, something inside you changes. Your thoughts grow quieter, your dreams grow taller. Nature has a way of doing that. That’s what makes Oakhills such a special place.
At Oakhills, no day feels ordinary. Each morning brings something new to learn, to create, or to wonder about. Every corner of the campus is alive with curiosity. We stay true to the Silver Oaks philosophy of Character before Competence, helping our learners grow not just in knowledge, but in kindness, confidence, and integrity. We want them to look at the world with courage; to think deeply, act wisely, and make life a little brighter wherever they go.

Admissions at Silver Oaks
Common Questions, Clear Answers
How is Silver Oaks Different?
Silver Oaks is a place where children grow and study. We focus as much on character and values as we do on academics. Children learn to think, speak, question, and understand, not just memorise. And the atmosphere is calm, warm, and genuinely child-friendly.
What is IB?
IB is a global way of learning that builds curiosity, confidence, and clarity of thinking. It’s an internationally recognized education program that we’ve been teaching for years, with trained faculty. Your child will learn through exploration, discussions, hands-on activities, and real-life connections.
Will my child be able to handle the IB curriculum?
Yes. IB at the primary level is designed for children. It’s not tough, and it’s definitely more meaningful than other education programs. Kids naturally enjoy learning this way because they understand what they’re learning and why. We guide them gently at every step.
How much homework do children get here?
Very reasonable amounts. Homework is meant to reinforce learning, not cause stress at home. We avoid excessive worksheets and keep things purposeful.
How is the transition handled from IB PYP to CBSE in Grade 7?
Children don’t feel a sudden jump because we prepare them well in advance, thanks to our ISAP Program. Teachers spend the first few months bridging concepts, reinforcing basics, and helping children get comfortable with the new style of assessments. The pace is steady. And because their foundation is strong, children actually adjust faster than most parents expect.
What sports and arts opportunities are available and are they compulsory?
Silver Oaks offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities such as music, dance, art, skating and various indoor and outdoor activities. Sports and arts are integral, not optional. All sports are included.
What are the age-eligibility rules (NEP 2020-aligned)?
At Silver Oaks, we strictly follow the NEP 2020-aligned age eligibility rules, requiring children to be the appropriate age as per National Education Policy guidelines for each admission stage.
What is the average class strength (teacher student ratio)?
Each classroom at Silver Oaks has around 25 students to ensure personalized attention, active classroom engagement and strong teacher-student relationships.
What are the safety measures at Silver Oaks?
Student safety is a top priority at Silver Oaks; with a qualified nurse managing the infirmary and tie-ups with reputed hospitals for emergencies. The campus is fully monitored by CCTV, with entry and exit controlled via RFID card swiping and security personnel on duty. Visitors are allowed only after registration and verification to ensure a secure environment.
Can students transfer between Silver Oaks campuses?
Students can transfer between Silver Oaks campuses across different states, ensuring continuity in learning and alignment with the school’s shared philosophy, curriculum and culture.
