We are looking for a passionate Music Facilitator who can inspire students through hands-on musical experiences. The role involves teaching instrumental music, developing ensemble skills, and preparing students for performances, while aligning with the inquiry-driven philosophy of the IB PYP. Training in IB PYP will be provided, so a strong musical foundation and love for working with children are most important.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging music sessions aligned with IB PYP principles
- Teach students guitar, keyboard, drums, and brass instruments (age-appropriate)
- Introduce students to rhythm, melody, harmony, and basic music theory through practice
- Train and prepare the school choir and student band for assemblies, events, and performances
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence through group and individual music activities
- Support interdisciplinary learning by integrating music with classroom themes and inquiries
- Identify and nurture musical talent while ensuring inclusive participation
- Organise rehearsals, performances, and music showcases
- Maintain and manage musical instruments and practice spaces
- Collaborate with teachers and school leadership for events and productions

Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in guitar, keyboard, drums, and/or brass instruments
- Experience training choirs or bands is a strong advantage
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to undergo IB PYP training (training will be provided)
- Good communication skills and a positive, child-centered approach
