Basanti CS heads our Early Primary Grades. In her role, she ensures smooth implementation of IB curriculum in the classrooms, mentor teachers and interact with parents. She ensures that each classroom has healthy and happy environment where children are eager to learn and learn well.
She is a special educator with 16 years of experience in teaching, training, curriculum development and academic operations. Her work experience spans from low cost private schools to International Schools. She has been single minded in her pursuit of learning methodologies that maximise cognitive development for children in their early years and has especially been focused on the links between motor, neural and linguistic development of children in their early years and their ability to succeed later in their lives. Basanti has been passionate about ensuring that children from low income families and first generation learners benefit no less. Her work with internationally renowned and pioneering low fee private education organisations bear testimony to this.
Working with different segments of school has helped her understand the learning needs of teachers and students alike. ‘Every child learns, but, at a different pace’ is her belief. Sensitising educators towards different learning needs is her objective. She hopes to achieve this through educating teachers in identifying learning difficulties, designing interventions and facilitating implementation.
She holds a Masters degree in Education and has been trained in Instrumental Enrichment Structural Cognitive Modifiability from International Centre for the Enhancement of Learning Potential (ICELP), Israel.
She was born in Uttarakhand, brought up in Delhi and lives in Hyderabad. Her biggest and immediate goals are to learn driving, to learn French, and to run a half marathon! 🙂
