Srivedya Gurazada of grade 11 commerce got selected in the Khelo India programme where they promote athletes by providing scholarships of 5,00,000 Rupees for a period of 8 years. Harsha from Grade X has got selected for CBSE Nation Science Exhibition wherein he will be demonstrating his innovative instrument called ZUBAT (bat like pokeman without eyes). This instrument works with an ultrasonic sensor which helps the blind

‘Hands on- Minds on ’ learning for enhanced science teaching, happened in a workshop which was conducted for the teachers of Silver Oaks by Ms Manorama Ramdas. She is a Teacher Developer for Chemistry trained by the Royal Society of Chemistry, U.K.
Telangana State meet for South Zone selections in swimming was held at Kothagudem on 9th and 10th Dec. Our acorns, Sri Bhuvan of grade 9 won 3 silver and 2 bronze, Srivarsh of grade 7 won 1 bronze and Sudeeksha won 1 gold and 1 silver.
SriBhuvan got selected for South Zone Nationals to be held at Belgaum on 7th January 2017.
Sahith of grade VIII has got selected for Telangana Throw ball team. (SGFI) Nationals will be held at Chhattisgarh in December 2016. He has won silver medal for Ranga reddy dist in Telangana state Games Throw ball tournament.
Silver Oaks International School congratulates the Parents cricket team.
A cricket match was played between the parents and the students of Silver Oaks at Babukhan Sports Arena on 3rd December 2016. The day was also marked with introduction of cricket roller trophy which will be played every year. The parents team won by five runs. Additionally, it was sports extravaganza with various matches played between the selected teams of the students. The games played were basket ball, foot ball, beach volleyball, table tennis and billiards. All the games were played under flood light and it was the first experience of a kind for the students and parents alike.
Harshita of grade X has got selected in Telangana throwball team (SGFI) Nationals will be held at Delhi in January 2017. She is one of the four probable players in Telangana for Asian Games throwball tournament.

62nd School Games Federation (SGF) Throwball state meet U-17 yrs (Girls) held at Nagarjuna degree college grounds Nalgonda from 14th to 16th Nov 2016. Harshitha and Sruthi Elaprolu Grade X of Silver Oaks international school participated. Harshitha led the Rangareddy Dist Team and won the tournament. Harshitha has been selected for the Nationals.
Silveroaks Acorns had a privilege of attending aerobatic display of nine aircraft (hawks) by Royal Air Force UK .it is named as Red Arrows .Red arrows are considered as the topmost display team in the world .Acorns also got to interact with the fighter pilots of UK. Overall it was an excellent opportunity for our acorns. They were truly inspired.

Ms. Anuradha,recepient of National ICT Award for Teachers 2015 for Effective & Innovative Integration of ICT in Promoting Students Learning.The award was conferred by Hon’ble Pranab Mukherjee, President of India on the ocassion of Teachers Day. Also present were HRD Minister Prakash Javedekar and the State Minister for Education. The three eventful days at New Delhi were spent with a lively interaction and dinner with HRD Minister and Historic Sightseeing for the awardees. Director NCERT felicitated her with a laptop and ICT Kit.
This award was given after careful scrutiny of the ICT Implementation in School’s .Ours is the only CBSE School across the Nation that was selected by the eminent panelists. This award therefore gives Ms. Anuradha the responsibility to mentor effective usage of technologies in Schools supported by NCERT and in National ICT Curriculum Design.

Acorns from Silver Oaks were the winning School in India International Model United Nations (IIMUN) Hyderabad Chapter to qualify for the All India finale at Mumbai. Participants researched their country, took on roles as diplomats, investigated international relations, debated, deliberated, consulted and then developed solutions to world problems they were confronted with.
Special Mention was awarded to Satvik Bajpai of Grade XI for representing Barack Obama in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Our acorn Geethika from Grade 10, WON 2nd prize in the painting competition which was held at Sankalpa fine arts college on saturday 27th august out of 300 participants from the twin cities and She was awarded Rs 4000 in cash.

Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) is one of the India’s leading brand in Education conference, management having organized the Asia’s Largest Youth Conference in Mumbai amongst many other Conferences”.
Model United Nations,also called Model UN or simply MUN, is a simulation of the United Nations, where students become delegate ambassadors from UN member States to debate past and present world issues, ranging from the environment to social issues and even law.
There were 40 students from Silver Oaks Hyderabad, who participated in the IIMUN Hyd 2016 which was held between 29th -31st July at Sadhu Vaswani School, Kompally.
It is our immense joy and pleasure to announce that our students have won the IIMUN Hyd 2016 Championship Trophy.
On 22nd and 23rd of July 17 students from Grade VIII to XI have participated in MODEL SAARC conducted by JUBLIEE HYDERABAD PUBLIC SCHOOL [JHPS] out of which 12 students were awarded with High commendation award from various committees such as Culture, Tourism, Education, Financial cooperation, SAFTA, Standing committee.

Ananya Garikipati of grade VIII has participated in the DuGymCup which is an international rhythmic gymnastics competition held in Dubai. Out of 260 participants from 22 countries, Ananya won a Bronze medal in Hoop and stood 7th overall.
